Join FEMA Region 2 Individual and Community Preparedness Program and the NJ Department of Human Services for an informative disaster preparedness training specifically designed to support the Disabilities, Access and Functional Needs (DAFN) Community. The State of NJ, working in coordination with their Statewide Independent Living Council created this disaster preparedness training specifically to support the Disabilities, Access and Functional Needs (DAFN) Community. with funding received from the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program. An abridged version of the training will be delivered followed by a 30-minute session with tips on how you can deliver this program in your community. Who should attend? The whole community -- Emergency Managers, Human and/or Social Services decision makers, Offices on Aging or Senior Services, Senior Citizen or Retirement Community Leads, Core Advisory Groups, individuals and families, including those with disabilities and others with access and functional needs, caregivers, volunteer and faith-based organizations, local, state, federal government and private sector.
