To Life! Invites all to Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To Life! has a number of initiatives and we welcome your participation.

To Life! is pleased to launch the Pink Mile Challenge, a virtual 5K race on October 1st. This race is a family friendly opportunity to challenge oneself and others for a good cause. Funds raised will support the support services and programs of To Life! Individuals are invited to build a team or compete individually in this year’s race. Medals will be awarded to the team and to the individual raising the most funds for To Life!

Bethlehem Goes Pink - To Life! and the Town of Bethlehem will decorate the downtown area with pink ribbons to visually reinforce the awareness message and to remind all of the support services and other resources available in our community.

Additional community outreach – To Life! will once again ask businesses to help spread the awareness message. Packets of Pink Ribbon Cards are available at To Life!. Call or email to launch your campaign today.

Facebook Fundraisers – Invite those in your network to help raise funds for a cause that is important to you and ensure our organization to ensure our organization will be there for future diagnosed individuals. Consider October Awareness, a Cancer Anniversary, Cancer related milestone or Birthdays as worthy cause for celebration. Visit our page at www.tolife.org for ideas that you can initiate.

To Life! will host Moonlight Soiree, a virtual fundraiser on Tuesday, October 26th, starting at 6:00. All are invited to attend there will be no admission charge. The program will include the presentation of the “Community Advocate” award to Patricia Tobin. Leading up to the event will be an on-line auction featuring services and items from local businesses, including artwork and handcrafted items created by our local Breast Cancer Survivors.

Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. It is estimated that in the State of New York over 17,000 cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in 2021. The October awareness campaign has been credited with a proactive increase in screenings and treatment. Early detection is key.
