To Our Valued Customers,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during these uncertain times. We will all get through this time in history by sticking together as a community. During this extremely difficult situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), nothing is more important to TACS Auto Body & Service than the health and safety of our customers & staff. We continue to monitor this situation closely and wanted to take a moment to summarize some of the things TACS is doing to keep our Auto Body & Service operation accessible to you!
While the TACS Family is in full support of taking measures to mitigate exposure to the virus we believe that Independent Family Owned & Operated Auto Body & Repair facilities are vital to the community as we all need to get from point A to point B. As of Friday, 3/20/20 Governor Cuomo has classified “Auto Repair” as an “Essential Business” in New York State so TACS will remain open until further guidelines from the Governor are put into place. As of Monday, 3/23/20 TACS will remain OPEN until further notice under the following guidelines:
The above steps are temporary, and we cannot know today when we will return to normal operations. We will advise you as matters evolve. Together we will work through this situation.

As of Monday, 3/23/20 TACS will remain OPEN until further notice under the following guidelines:
- Hours of Operation: Starting 3/23/20 our Main Office, Auto Body Shop, and Auto Service Shop will be OPEN from 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday- Friday. We will be CLOSED on Saturday’s. We are closing on Saturday’s & 4:00pm instead of our normal time in order to sanitize & disinfect surfaces, door handles, pens, chairs, etc. We will re-evaluate our hours of operation depending on how the COVID-19 situation evolves in the next few weeks.
- Auto Body & Collision Estimates/Appointments: Starting 3/23/20 our Main Office will be OPEN FOR WALK-IN OR SCHEDULED ESTIMATES for Auto Body & Collision Repair. If you already have an approved estimate from your insurance company you can email that estimate to us at tacsautobodyservice@gmail.com and we can set up your appointment thru email or a phone call once we receive the estimate.
- Auto Service Appointments: Starting 3/23/20 we have limited availability in our Auto Service Shop due to the drastic slow-down of business over the last number of weeks. Also, we can only take limited appointments at this time because this COVID-19 situation has led us to the difficult decision of laying off several staff (hopefully temporarily) who have worked for us for many years until business picks up again. This was truly heart-breaking for the three of us, but these are un-precedented times & we needed to take immediate action for our long-term survival of our local business. Due to our limited availability in the Service Shop & to safeguard the health of you, our customer along with the rest of the TACS staff ALL SERVICE APPOINTMENTS MUST BE DROPPED OFF as we want to keep the number of people in our waiting room to a minimum to follow New York States directive. (We can even meet you in the parking lot to do your paperwork if you prefer not to come inside)
- Main Office Adjustments: As Governor Cuomo has stated in his orders, we all need to “social distance” in order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We have removed half of the chairs in our Main Office to leave the required 6 feet he has recommended for social distancing. We also will be following a different cleaning schedule as we laid out above.
The above steps are temporary, and we cannot know today when we will return to normal operations. We will advise you as matters evolve. Together we will work through this situation.
