Glenmont Elementary School celebrated being named a National Blue Ribbon School

Students and staff at Glenmont Elementary School celebrated being named a National Blue Ribbon School on Thursday, December 12.

The entire school community wore blue as Principal Laura Heffernan unveiled the school’s new National Blue Ribbon School flag. The school earned the designation as a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School this fall: https://www.bethlehemschools.org/glenmont-2019-national-blue-ribbon-school/.

Glenmont was the only Capital Region school to earn the designation this year. Nationwide, 312 schools were named National Blue Ribbon Schools.

Students read essays about what Glenmont means to them and sang songs for special guests as part of the school-wide assembly.
