The Community Loan Fund recently announced the retirement of Executive Director Linda MacFarlane as of January 4, 2025. The Board of Directors has named longtime Deputy Director of the Community Loan Fund, Walt Brady, as interim Executive Director.

Executive Director Linda MacFarlane has announced her retirement from the Community Loan Fund. Under her leadership over the past eleven years, the Community Loan Fund has grown its small business and nonprofit loan portfolio dramatically while expanding public-private partnerships to serve the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Community Loan Fund played an essential role administering relief grants for small businesses while continuing to provide training and technical assistance to micro-enterprises throughout the Capital District and beyond.

The Community Loan Fund’s Board of Directors has initiated a search for a new Executive Director. Interested candidates are invited to email search@mycommunityloanfund.org. No phone calls please.
Walt Brady, Deputy Director, has been named Interim Director to maintain continuity during the search process.

We thank Linda for her commitment and leadership and look forward to continuing to build on CLF’s 39 years of community development.
