Celebrate Shopping Local with the Bethlehem Chamber Holiday Shopping Card Kick-Off Event

Delmar, NY (November 15, 2019) --------The Holiday Season is upon us! Get started on your holiday shopping and support our community at the same time by using the Bethlehem Chamber’s annual Holiday Shopping Card to take advantage of discounts and promotions offered by more than 30 local businesses.
The Holiday Shopping Card is free and available throughout town. Be the first to grab yours at the Holiday Shopping Card Kick-Off Event! Presented by the Bethlehem Chamber and sponsored by A. Phillips Hardware, join us on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 11:30am-12:30pm at A. Phillips Hardware in Delmar, NY. Light refreshments will be served.
The Holiday Shopping Card goes hand-in-hand with Small Business Saturday, which is Saturday, November 30. Held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday is a national holiday celebrating America’s small businesses. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event.
There are 28.8 million small businesses in the country that account for 99.7% all businesses in the U.S. For every $100 at a local business, roughly $68 stays in the local economy. For that same $100 spent at a big box store, only $43 stays in your local economy (Source: Small Business Administration).
The Holiday Shopping Cards will also be distributed in the 11/27/19 edition of the Spotlight Newspaper and at the Delmar Turkey Trot, or you can pick one up at any of the 36 participating businesses. In addition, cards will be available at the Bethlehem Chamber office (M-F 9am-5pm) and the Saturday Delmar Farmer’s Market throughout December.
The deals on the card are valid from Small Business Saturday, November 30 through December 31, 2019. The card must be presented in order to receive the discount. The following local businesses are participating in this year’s promotion:
