CAP COM Launches Year Two of Infrastructure Grant Initiative
CAP COM Federal Credit Union and its charitable giving arm, the CAP COM Cares Foundation, is pleased to announce the launch and second year of the CAP COM Cares Foundation Infrastructure Grant Initiative.
The program is in response to help the Credit Unions existing & potential nonprofit partners, in supporting projects that are traditionally more difficult to find funding for. Grants may include requests for projects such as septic systems, equipment and hardware, computer programs and other items that are vital for organizations to serve their constituents but are often difficult to gain funding.
After seeing the wonderful success of the program’s inaugural year in 2021, the CAP COM Cares Foundation Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve this program for another year and help even more nonprofits in our community. To learn more about the initiative and last year’s success visit https://www.capcomfcu.org/community/infrastructure-winners/ $100,000 has been earmarked to re-enter the community for infrastructure projects in 2022, with a goal of supporting 10 organizations with $10,000 each.
The CAP COM Cares Foundation website makes grant application easy for both the community partners and community relations team. https://capcomfcu.kadince.com/external/forms/f45122c21ed858bb168a87df229f374c. Deadline to apply is February 18.
The infrastructure grant initiative will allow CAP COM to formalize their commitment to the Capital Region community by supporting these non-traditional projects, and to reach new non-profit partners, allowing even more diversity for the foundation.
“We are thrilled to continue the Infrastructure Grant Initiative”, stated Becky Daniels, Director of Community Engagement, CAP COM Federal Credit Union. “The mission of our CAP COM Cares Foundation it to nurture our community by supporting large and small local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of families in the Capital Region. The Infrastructure Initiative will allow us to support new projects, that normally are hard to fund. We are looking forward to partnering with new and existing partners on some special upcoming projects.”
