We are a busy Integrative Medical Practice in search of a full-time LPN to work in our beautiful, state of the art office in Delmar, NY. We treat chronically ill patients, as well as those seeking wellness and prevention using integrative approaches. Work with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists. Our office is non-insurance based. No nights, no weekends. Competitive salary, health insurance, dental and vision benefits and 401k pension plan are offered.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm
Description of Duties:
- Implement physician's or nurse practitioners' orders; administer intravenous and IM medications, and initiate IVs. Perform treatments such as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Softwave, Lab draws, and monitor patients during treatment.
- Schedule patients and document treatment as required by practice policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations
- Meet regularly with assigned physician or nurse practitioner to review patient cases
- Address patient inquiries through online portal system and telecommunication.
- Collaborate with nursing team to create a plan of care for patients and procedures
- Perform nursing administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, etc as required.
- Maintain a safe environment by following all safety rules and regulations.
Position Skills and Requirements:
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
- IV experience REQUIRED, phlebotomy skills required.
- Collaborative skills.
- Work in a fast paced environment with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant healthcare software applications.
- Professional personal presentation.
- Reliability
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in an acute care setting
