Eleven students, and four educators, from Bethlehem Central High School were honored on Tuesday, April 16 by the Capital District YMCA for their exceptional service to the community. The group was treated to a breakfast at the Appel Inn in Altamont.

The event is hosted by the Bethlehem, Guilderland and Albany YMCAs. Five Capital Region schools, including Bethlehem, participated in the awards ceremony. View additional photos from the awards breakfast here.

Principal Dave Doemel was among three other BC teachers to be honored for his community service. Doemel has been principal of the high school, which serves more than 1,600 students, since he was appointed in 2017. He previously served as a hall principal at the school, as well as interim principal at the middle school for the 2016-17 school year.

Congratulations to all!
