September 2, 2020 – Community Caregivers, a Guilderland based non-profit, will be hosting a volunteer appreciation event on September 16th at the Altamont Fairgrounds. Community Caregiver volunteers will be treated to a bagged lunch and a token of appreciation as they drive through the designated area. This event is in place of a sit-down luncheon that was scheduled for April but was postponed due to COVID-19 health restrictions.

“We’re excited about this celebration and hope all our volunteers will take part,” said Executive Director Lee Lounsbury. “After all, they are the reason we are able to continue our efforts to help seniors and others live independently and safely within our communities. It’s our way of saying, ‘thank you’ for all they’ve done - especially during these difficult and trying times.”

Attendees are asked to remain in their cars at all times and to practice safety precautions, including the wearing of masks. If you are a Community Caregivers volunteer and would like to participate or are interested in learning more about the organization and its services, please call 518-456-2898, email info@communitycaregivers.org or visit www.communitycaregivers.org.
