Bethlehem Chamber Promotes Small Business Saturday and Encourages Holiday Shoppers to Shop Local

Delmar, NY (November 22, 2019) -------- The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce announces their participation in this year’s Small Business Saturday, taking place the Saturday after Thanksgiving on November 30th. Small Business Saturday is a day-long celebration founded by American Express to encourage people to Shop Small and bring more holiday shopping to small businesses.
The Bethlehem Chamber participates as a Neighborhood Champion, supporting local businesses by helping them promote the events and special activities they have planned for Small Business Saturday. Show your support by shopping at a small business that day!
Small Business Saturday, created by American Express, is celebrating its 10th year. Last year, 104 million shoppers spent a record high of $17.8 billion on Small Business Saturday (source: 2018 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey, produced by American Express and NFIB). More than $103 billion has been spent on Small Business Saturday since its inception.
“The Chamber strives to celebrate small, local businesses every day,” said Chamber President Maureen McGuinness. “Our participation in Small Business Saturday is part of our Buy Local Campaign, which includes initiatives such as our printed Business & Community Directory, annual Restaurant Week event, Holiday Shopping Card promotion, and our Online Business Directory.”
