Local non-profit breast cancer organization To Life! offers Mandala Art Class to breast cancer patients, survivors and their families and caregivers free-of-charge.
The word Mandala comes from the ancient Hindu language of Sanskrit and means "Sacred Circle." Mandalas are circular symbols that some people believe are linked to our life's energy. The rhythm of designing and creating a mandala will help focus one's attention creating a relaxing, meditative state of balance and peace, allowing the flow of creative expression.
Art instructor Kathleen Lyons will lead the class through a therapeutic, fun morning of free expression where we will create our own unique mandala.
