Event Description:
This family-friendly event, which has quickly become a community favorite, has been modified slightly this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. Although there will be no food trucks, musical entertainment, or art vendors at Chalk the Walk, the event will still be a lot of fun for creative chalk artists of all ages and abilities, and will provide ongoing joy for trail users who walk, run, or cycle past the brightly chalked squares in the days and weeks after the event.
Two time slots for chalking are available for chalk artists on the 26th. The first time slot is from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM; the second time slot is from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Each three foot by three foot square costs $10 and must be purchased in advance online. All proceeds from chalk sales will benefit murals and other artwork on the Rail Trail and are tax-deductible.

- All levels of chalk artists are welcomed to chalk a square (you don’t have to be a professional - just come and have fun!) and all chalkers will be provided with complimentary chalk on the day of the event. Please note that only two people can work on one chalk square at a time, in order to keep the numbers of people gathering on the trail low and to comply with Covid-19 guidelines.
